NZ based photographic artist Gillian Eva Boyd first started photography as an 80s teenager. She possesses an individual vision of the mundane and magical, and is constantly on the lookout for the energy of the unseemly, the understated, the quietly beautiful. Boyd’s artwork has been exhibited both in New Zealand and internationally. She has also participated in many group shows at leading contemporary galleries Photospace, Black Asterik, and Nomadic Art Gallery along with the Wellington Academy of Fine Arts.
